     The LK-RS5102PS 2-port fully opto-isolated RS485 hub is a splitter that takes one RS485 input and provides two outputs, expanding a single master port into two downstream networks and solving the problems of irregular star wiring or insufficient node capacity. Both signal and power are fully opto-isolated between the master and slave sides, and 15 kV ESD plus 5 kA lightning surge protection shields the installation from lightning, static and similar interference. Data direction is detected in hardware, so no delay-based transmit/receive switching is needed, and all three ports have activity LEDs that show their state at a glance.
    RS485 signals are forwarded transparently, with no restriction on baud rate, protocol or frame format, and up to 250 slave nodes are supported. It is widely used to extend RS485 networks in automation control, security and surveillance, smart metering, car parks, campus card systems and similar applications.
