The LK-RS5104PS 4-port fully opto-isolated RS485 hub splits a single master RS485 port into four downstream ports, providing both signal branching and repeater amplification so the number of slaves on the bus can be increased easily. Signal and power are completely isolated between the master and slave sides, and 15 kV ESD plus 5 kA lightning surge protection devices keep the host equipment safe in electrically noisy environments. Data direction is detected in hardware, so no transmit/receive switching is required, and all five ports have LEDs that show their status in real time.
    Fully transparent transmission supports baud rates from 300 to 115200 bps with no protocol or frame format restrictions, and up to 250 slave nodes can be connected - making it an ideal way to expand RS485 networks in industrial automation, security and surveillance, smart metering and car park management.
